Welcome to Mrs. Tuchek's Classroom!
Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to a new school year! My website is designed to keep you updated on our areas of study, important assignments, important dates, and scheduled tests for subjects including math, reading, writing, and science. Please also remember to check your child's planner and take-home folder each night, for we spend a great deal of time organizing our materials together at the end of each day. All homework, test dates, graded work, and reminders can be found in your child's orange take-home folder and in our planners. This is a fabulous way for us to keep our lines of communication open. Thank you so much for all of your support!

Reading ~ The implementation of our district READING / LITERACY PROGRAM will take place throughout the school year. This reading program will include three main areas: read aloud, shared reading, and small group instruction, focusing on differentiated reading instruction. Each child will be taught on their individual reading level and will move to a new level as their reading abilities progress.
|
Math ~ Please continue to practice and master your multiplication/division facts by working with flashcards at least three days a week. By knowing your multiplication facts well, you will feel more confident with all math concepts and units presented throughout the year.
